Abstract :
This paper presents a new method implementing a soft-switched inverter which is formed by a conventional inverter and a DC chopper with a resonant snubber. When the inverter commutates, the chopper makes the voltage across the inverter zero; thus the inverter works under soft-switching conditions. An amount of the chopper switched-aid circuit energy can be recovered by the resonant snubber design. Simulated and experimental results are given
