Abstract

Summary form only given. Sphere and disk shaped samples of photorefractive crystals are interesting as a key element of miniaturized real-time optical processors based on beam-coupling architecture. The specific shape of the sample provides a new scenario of nonlinear decay for the incident pump beam. In BaTiO/sub 3/, the decay occurs due to stimulated scattering of the pump by photorefractive dynamic gratings.
