Abstract :
In this paper, low profile LLC series resonant converter with two transformers is proposed for offering a slim PDP TV set. Design procedures and voltage gain characteristics on the proposed converter are described. Two transformers applied to LLC resonant converter are connected in series with the primary and in parallel with the secondary to reduce the unbalance of the primary current. Based on the theoretical analysis and simulation results, considering the characteristics of the voltage gain and load variation, a prototype 400 W LLC resonant converter for 50 inch PDP TV power module is designed and built. And then, the design parameters and operational principles of the proposed converter are verified through the experimental results.
