Abstract
The paper covers the corporate objectives, the development of a standard for electric utility fire protection utilizing the latest technology, and the formulation of loss control criteria for the design of fire protection systems for modern urban multi-storey electrical substations with voltage levels ranging from 11 kV up to 400 kV. The application of a systematic and structured risk assessment and management program is also highlighted to emphasis China Light and Power Co. Ltd.´s (CLP) commitment to protect life safety, the environment, a secure electricity supply to customers and the company assets
