Abstract :
This paper describes a new power electronics toolbox SimuPec designed to be used with Matlab/Simulink from the Math Works Inc. The paper emphasis two features of SimuPec in the Simulink environment namely: 1) Modeling of nonlinear components, 2) Circuit partitioning and decoupling. Modeling of nonlinear components with SimuPec can be realized directly. SimuPec automatically linearize the complete electric circuit about the operating point. Circuit partitioning and decoupling could be applied to simulate large complex power electronics system using many small subsystems. This technique allows significant speed improvement compared to modeling the complete power electronics system in one S-function block. In addition it makes the system easy formulate and program in parallel processing environment.
