Abstract :
A contour-generating algorithm tailored to suit the requirements of a Unix-based clinical electroencephalography system is described. The module is incorporated into a data acquisition and graphics processing system designed to monitor continually a four-bed epilepsy unit. The program provides two-dimensional outlines of EEG isolevel contours, facilitating visual identification of epileptic events for diagnosis. The algorithm is fast, simple, and robust and integrates smoothly into the clinical environment
