Abstract :
An effective scheme for digital watermarking of audio signals based on Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Chaotic Mapping has been proposed in this paper. The procedure involves the embedding of watermark bits in equivalent audio segments by altering the SV´s of the segments after SVD and the entire process is carried out in the wavelet domain. The watermark extraction process for this method is blind. A number of signal processing attacks are initiated to test the robustness of the scheme. Experimental results indicate that the scheme displays good robustness against attacks and subsequent subjective tests affirm the imperceptibility of the scheme. Moreover the time taken to embed and extract the watermark is much lesser than certain schemes utilised for the purpose of watermarking of audio signals.
