Abstract :
A new zero voltage switched (ZVS) power converter is proposed. The resonant inductor of the conventional ZVS PWM power converter is replaced to two small saturable inductors in order to reduce the conduction loss of the auxiliary switch. Therefore, the switching loss of the main switch is very low and the conduction losses of the main and auxiliary switches are lowered. The ZVS scheme and the above characteristics are verified by experimental results for 200 kHz power convertor switching frequency operation
