Abstract :
Modern calculation of a construction element´s durability that is founded on the fracture mechanics, demands information about its defects. Such information may frequently be obtained using electromagnetic methods of nondestructive testing. Diffraction theory forms the basics for these methods. Taking into account a wide frequency range of sounding and the arbitrary geometry of defects and their location, we can perform computer modeling of wave interaction with material inhomogeneities. The axis-symmetric scalar diffraction problem is presented. The algorithm for solving such a problem is proposed. Our goal is to develop effective numerical algorithms for integral equation calculation using specially constructed quadrature formulas and interpolational polynomials. Pattern diagrams for plane wave incidences are given
