Abstract :
The electric power system is a typical complex large-scale system. The state equations describing an electrical power system are stiff differential equations and their orders are very high. By way of large-scale theory and modern computation techniques, the authors propose a three-level hierarchical model and algorithm which is suitable for electric power system stability computation. A computer program has been designed in Fortran 77 and tested on a VAX 11/780 computer. Real tests show that the algorithm is much better than traditional algorithm
