Abstract
An analysis of thirty measurements made on a resonant structure was performed. The calculated value of the quality factor, Q, using four techniques is compared. Three of the techniques used the amplitude response of the measurement. The fourth technique used the complex response. The technique that used the complex response was superior to the other techniques when the standard deviation of Q, expressed as a percent of the average, was used as the figure of merit
