Abstract :
This paper describes a novel adaptive stabilizer called an adaptive governor power system stabilizer (AGPSS), stabilization of which is implemented via the turbine governor, and is easy to design and apply in multi-machine power systems. The paper presents results obtained by nonlinear simulation of a single-machine and a three-machine power system, which illustrate the effectiveness of the stabilizers in supplying damping and improving stability
