Abstract :
The process of creating photo realistic 3DCG is divided into modeling and rendering. Now automation of rendering is increasing and advanced method has been progressed. Nevertheless, a current state of modeling is that professional creators should do modeling by hand. Above all, we should point out that automation of modeling is an important problem in 3DCG process of the future. In general, to acquire 3 dimensional shape data, a laser and a highly accurate camera are used. However, to do that we need the large cost and time, and we should concern a danger to public health. In order to solve these problems, we proposed a simple method for getting the data of shape of the face as 3DCG data with projector and Web camera. This method becomes inexpensive, quick and simple, compared with traditional models. In this paper, we describe the set up of the projector and Web camera, taking a picture of the face, image processing and conversion. And, we describe the effectiveness of this method in the photo realistic expression of 3DCG.
