Abstract
Summary form only given. When processed through counterion-induced processibility, polyaniline (PANI), either neat or in polyblends with commercial polymers, exhibits better quality than earlier PANI materials. This progress enables a variety technical applications for PANI-based materials as conducting polymers; it also enables a better understanding of structure of polyaniline. We will present the results of spectroscopic and diffraction studies of PANI, neat and in polyblends, in both conducting and non-conducting forms with emphasis on tensile-draw polyblend samples. The results are discussed and compared with data published previously on related PANI materials.
