  • Abstract
Summary form only given. We have studied polythiophene derivatives substituted with high electron affinity groups. The chemically synthesized monomers reported in this work are the basic monomer & Butylthio phene, and the following acceptor groups. AcGI: 3-(4-Nitrobenzene-1,2-ethen)Thiophene, AcG2: 3-(4-Nitrobenzene-1,4-butadiene)Thiophene, and AcG3: 3-(4-Nitrobenzene-bis(Di-1,2-ethen) benzene)Thiophene. The polymers studied are the chemically prepared homopolymer poly 3 Butylthiophene (PBuT), and the three co-polymers AcG/PBuT with mixing ratio between 1:3 and 1:7.
