Training competitive specialists as the priority of modern education

Contemporary Russian social and economic environment puts forward new requirements to staff training. The priority task of modern Russian education is to train competitive specialists. Academic literature, however, gives poor attention to the obstacles in training competitive specialists. The author tries to bridge this gap demonstrating that the main challenges here are not the lack of resources but the participants of the educational process, namely, students and educators.
