Abstract :
Summary form only given. Slow relaxation processes, whose nature has not been fully explained, are one of the characteristic features of conducting polymers. We report spectroelectrochemical studies on the behaviour of polyaniline in acid solutions. After preparation (oxidation reduction cycle) differential spectra of polyaniline in its reduced state were recorded. Polyaniline films were examined at various potentials and several anions were used as doping agents. Increasing waiting (relaxation) time leads to significant changes in spectra (especially between 370 and 450 nm).
