Abstract
The authors have been working on a system based on transmission line matrix modelling (TLM). This formed part of a research program to develop sensing systems in advanced manufacturing using airborne ultrasound. A modelling system was required to support this work. TLM was able to model the interactions in the region near to objects very accurately, but the total modelling space required was beyond the memory capacity or processing power of the computers available
