Abstract :
A MUSIC-type high-resolution frequency estimator (ACM-MUSIC) that is based on direct estimation of basis vectors of the signal subspace is described. In ACM-MUSIC, eigenvector computation is avoided and possible a priori information on the frequencies of directions-of-arrival may be utilized. The method performs better than MUSIC at low SNRs and is more robust than MUSIC against overestimation of the number of sinusoids or narrowband sources
