Abstract
We address the statistical modeling of multiple antennas terminals in realistic use conditions. An analysis is carried out of the generation of MIMO channel matrices in the Kronecker approximation, showing that it is valid for a set of multiple antenna terminals only if the generation is carried out independently per each terminal, rather than by using correlation and power shaping matrices computed over the whole channel and terminal set. This is verified both from full simulations and from semi-experimental simulations using measured multiple antenna terminals mockups under strong influence of head and hand.
