Abstract
The article considers the current state of engineering education in Russia in the light of the need to increase its adaptability and quality, and the role of practice-oriented learning technologies in this process. The demand for graduates on the labour market and their competitiveness is seen as the main indicator of the education system ability to adapt to changes and its quality.
