Abstract :
Summary form only given. Alternating conduction measurements for different temperatures were carried out with polyaniline (PANI) and poly(o-methoxyaniline) (POMA), in the frequency range of 10/sup -2/ to 10/sup 5/ Hz. Both the PANI and the POMA were chemically synthesized with ammonium peroxydisulfate and cast in forms of flexible free-standing films using n-methylpirrolidone. A model based on the Pareto distribution of transition rates was used to fit the experimental results. Values for ac conductivity in the low frequency range were in agreement with those obtained by charging current measurements.
