Abstract :
Summary form only given. Dc and gigahertz conductivity (from dysonian Electron Spin Ressonance signals) measurements of pressed pellets of Cl0/sub 4/- doped poly(3-methylthlophene) were carried out from 30 K up to room temperature. A quasi-linear behaviour in the conductivity-temperature curve was observed for samples that were initially quenched to low temperatures. When the sample was cooled slowly, however, a sharp peak in the ac conductivity appeared at 240 K; at the same temperature the dc curve displayed an inflexion. At low temperatures, below 100 K, non-ohmic behaviour is observed in both ac and dc conductivity for very low electric fields, suggesting the presence of charge-density wave phenomena.
