  • Abstract
Most of the poultry farms in Bangladesh draw their power from national grid and use diesel or natural gas generators as backup support. As there are over two hundred thousand poultry farms in Bangladesh, it instigates a huge load on the national grid. Owing to the costly diesel and scarce natural gas, the power supply to the poultry farms has become uncertain as well as costly. Under these circumstances, poultry farms themselves can become self sufficient producing their own power from daily poultry wastage. As the power systems in poultry farms are modelled to operate in island mode, the stability of them must be ensured under all operating condition. Hence, stability of them must be tested before widespread roll-out. The aim of this paper is to analyze the stability of a standalone biogas power system under different operating conditions.
