Abstract :
In this paper an adaptive MIMO-OFDM system including efficient feed-back information schemes is proposed. The paper examines several techniques for compressing feed-back data in a 2 x 2 MIMO-OFDM system. Besides, since feed-back data are very sensitive to errors and moreover are compressed, the paper evaluates the degradation on the overall achievable throughput due to errors in feed-back. The proposal is analyzed and validated by simulations. As a conclusion of the work it can be confirmed that it is possible to implement an adaptive MIMO-OFDM system for cellular systems where the feed-back data rate is considerably compressed and therefore the efficiency is not compromised.
