  • Abstract
The aim of this paper consists in experimental confirmation of the possibility of micrometer diameter measurement of focused laser radiation by thin-wire bolometers. The bolometer material was platinum, which does not yield to corrosion in a wide temperature interval, has a melting point of 1769 °C and displays a smooth temperature dependence of the basic physical parameters (temperature coefficient of resistance, factor of absorption efficiency, specific heat, thermal conductivity and coefficient of heat exchange with environment), which determine the transformation coefficient of the bolometer. The thin-wire platinum bolometer had a diameter of 3 microns and a length 8.4 mm.
