  • Abstract
Summary form only given. Effect of external pressure on the electrical conductivity of pyrolyzed polyacetylene (PPA) of various submolecular structure has been studied. The Initial polyacetylene samples with amorphous and crystalline structures has been synthesized by the dehydrochlorination of PVC with using the interphase catalysis. It has been found that when the applied pressure changes up to 1 GPa the conduStIvity of the crystalline PPA (pyrolys temperature T/sub P/=400, 500/spl deg/C) increases by a factor of 5-10, wheareas the conductivity of the amorphous PPA with a content of hexagonal crystalline modification up to 20% increases by a factor of 1000. A doping of PA by both organic ferro-compounds iron acetylacetone A/sub c/A/sub c/Fe and ferrocen (C/sub 5H/sub 5)/sub 2/Fe leads to a decrease of the electrical conductivity of products on similar form. The conductivity change with pressure increase is the same as the conductivity change for the undoped polymer.
