  • Abstract
    The article presents ATM-technology on the level of access network and trunk network. Four reference customers connection configurations and main conceptions of access network building based on optical fiber are analyzed. This article shows two methods for logical network topologies using effectiveness and, network productivity calculation, and theoretically defined these parameters that influence on time delay in local and municipal networks. Time delay is defined for ATM-networks using different types of AAL protocols and its change in dependence upon network traffic trunk increase. As a result topology with optical fiber use and the effectiveness of equipped AAL protocols based on time delay for different multimedia applications is found.
