Abstract
It has been determined that it is feasible to have remote displays and controls of the AN/FPN-63 precision approach radar (PAR) over a narrow bandwidth communication link. The system design maintains the functional requirements of the current radar as required by the applicable air traffic control documents. After processing, one or two dedicated 56 kb/s telephone lines are able to transmit the 4-MHz video and control signals with minimal loss of radar image quality
