  • Abstract
    The full extent of solar power has yet to be fully harnessed by the use of modern technology (solar cells). The efficiency of the solar cells is still eons away from reaching their full potential. In this paper, Ge has been used in the single cell junction to increase the efficiency of the solar cell. TCAD, one of the finest simulation software of this time, has been used to illustrate the efficiency of the Ge solar cell. It is a great challenge in front of us to generate sufficient energy for human kind. The shortage of non-renewable energy can be overcome by using solar power. The more solar cells will be used efficiently solar energy, the more people will be benefited. This paper is introducing a remarkable way to design an efficient solar cell by using Ge. Solar cells are very environment friendly. The maximum efficiency is obtained by using different doping concentration. This challenging project is accomplished by the device simulator ATLAS. This paper shows the highest performance and helps to investigate the efficiency and fill factor for different concentration.
