Abstract :
In this paper the design of an AC-AC converter, capable of generating a high-quality output, is described It is based on the Cuk configuration and, since there are no transformers, it lends itself to a compact and lightweight implementation. An integrated circuit, developed for DC-DC applications, is used to control the converter. Tests performed show that the output exhibits a THD = 3%. The efficiency is slightly higher than 89%, and the average output regulation is 0.3%.
