Abstract :
Responding to market demand for increased access capacity, the IEEE 802.3 av has standardized 10 G-EPON. The new specification has successfully resolved a number of technical challenges, including the coexistence with the mass-deployed 1 G-EPON, resulting in a highly efficient architecture.
