Abstract :
A novel series hybrid active power filter is proposed. Compared with the conventional series active power filter (SAPF) or the series hybrid active power filter, its active part only needs to suppress some low order harmonics. So the capacity factor of the inverter´s DC voltage is improved a lot and the power rating of the active part decreases markedly, while its filter performance does not decline. The detailed theoretical analysis is given, and the feasibility is verified through the simulation and the experiment on a 10 kVA prototype.
