Abstract :
Summary form only given. We used the quantum chemistry EHMO-CO method to calculate the electronic structures of poly-(1,4-phenylene methieimine) and poly(iso-1, 4-phenylene methineimine). Comparing with the band structures of poly(1,4-phenylene vinylene), we can expect that poly(iso-1,4-phenylene methineimine) may possess better conductivity and polyazomethine may be a new kind of highly conducting polymer meterial.
