Abstract
Currently, rainwater utilization has become a research hotpot for the shortage of water resource and water pollution. Source and energy are saved as municipal water supply is reduced and rainwater pipe diameter is declined which consists with low-carbon conception. Aiming at rainwater utilization in building, a three-star-level green building located in east of china is introduced. A detailed analysis about water balance and index of economic and technical is made. In this project, initial rainwater was discharged into municipal sewage network and the later cleaner rainwater was reused after flocculation, sedimentation, filtration and disinfection. The total miscellaneous water consumption is 15900m3/a, the design rainwater runoff is 13670.8 m3/a, the amount of reused rainwater is 11979m3/a. annual utilization ratio is 23.1%.
