Abstract :
We present the performance of three application benchmarks (BT, LU, and SP) from the NAS Parallel Benchmark suite on the IBM scalable POWERparallel 1 (SP1) system. We present performance results on both Class A and Class B problem sets. We compare the performance of two communication protocols, MPL and MPL/p, and also present results on a cluster of workstations called PPP. We describe the implementation of one of the benchmarks (SP) in some detail
