Abstract
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a paradigm for organizing and utilizing distributed services as the basic construct to produce the desired results for service consumers. Large and complex computational units can be composed out of the available services. As the complexity and dynamism of the current global network systems grow significantly, the service architecture will also need to grow. It should be capable of autonomously changing its structure and functionality to meet dynamic changes in the requirements and environment with little human intervention. It needs to dynamically (re)organize the interactions between the services due to unpredictable events, such as crashes or network problems, which could cause services unavailability. In this paper, we elaborate the design of an autonomic SOA and implementation model of the autonomic SOA in computational engineering framework as a case study.
