Abstract
Rapid growth of the industry of mobile devices and mobile networks like IEEE802.11 and ad hoc networks will change the concept of the mobile service. Service providers like drug stores and information center for the strangers may want to give their services to the citizens wherever the service providers want to serve. In this paper, we propose ZBS (Zone-Based Service) architecture for the new concept of the mobile service in ad hoc networks. And end users can efficiently find the location of themselves in our service architecture. We describe the implementation issues such as adaptations and modifications of existing elementary. We implement ZBS architecture on the Linux platform, verify its functional requirements, and show experimental results with finding the location of en end user.
