Abstract
A solar tracker is a device which always faces sun throughout the day and 365 days a year. It is mainly used to track maximum energy from the Photo voltaic panel. In this paper, a three dimensional solar tracker has been implemented, which utilizes the sensor made with four LDRs (Light Dependent Resistors). Here a special arrangement of LDRs has been used which will enhance the working range of the solar tracker. This in turn will increase its reliability in low light also. This arrangement will also reduce the resource requirement. For three dimensional tracking, two stepper motors are used, one will track in a plane, and the other will move this plane in a third dimension. Logic is implemented on a microcontroller.
