Abstract :
Summary form only given. In this paper, an exact sampled-data representation of continuous-time systems are presented. Based on the well known discretization technique for linear systems, we derive new results for nonlinear systems, especially for Volterra systems. Typically, the input signal to the continuous-time system must be held constant over the sampling period. This constraint is relaxed by introducing general hold functions for the D/A conversion. Furthermore, an illustrative example is given.
