Abstract
This paper is based on the experience of reviewing a computer literacy course taught at the British campus of an American university. The comments and advice given are applicable to those charged with designing a new course as well as those re-designing an existing one. The author was employed at the university until recently. The steps taken to design the course are given and the syllabus is compared to that of the European Computer Driving License.
