Abstract
The paper describes the control of a pulse width modulated power converter for direct coupling with a photovoltaic module generator without storage accumulators. The PV module will be working at a point near the maximum power point (MPP), with a selected operating voltage. The loads can be small DC motors for moving seed mills, pumping water, fridges, fans and so on. The control circuit implementation is simple and cheap at the same time that robust and reliable. Simulation and hardware are included in the paper. Systems protections and possible adjustments are also proposed.
