Abstract :
This paper proposes a bio-inspired intelligent controller based on the limbic system of mammalian brain. This control technique can be used to control electric drives where fast acting control action is required. Simulation results are presented to investigate the performance of this controller. The performance of the controller is analyzed under different set speeds and different loading conditions and also compared with PI controller. Simulation results show that this controller is robust and sensitive to the parameter variations, speed and load variations.
