Abstract
A method to implement three phase pulse width modulation techniques for digital signal processor (DSP) based servo controllers using programmable gate arrays (PGA) is presented. Two phases are presented to the PGA from which the third phase is derived. These phases are then each applied to a 12 bit amplifier (11 bits plus sign) with an update rate of up to 40 kHz, which also accepts signed integers
