Abstract :
This study is aimed at suggesting optimal frequency range and material to apply RFID to building materials, and subsequent optimal attachment standards. In order to find the best location for attachment during the test of RFID tag recognition, typical materials such as concrete, piping materials (steel/copper/PE), timber, and paint (pigment)were selected. During the test conducted in such a manner of attaching RFID tags commercially available in the market to these materials, the applicability such as recognition rate, etc. was analyzed, and the method of application by building materials were derived through the demonstration tests.
