  • Abstract
This paper investigates the influence of voltage flicker on the Lux variation of general residential lamps, including incandescent lamps, electromagnetic ballast fluorescent lamps, and high frequency electronic ballast fluorescent lamps (compact fluorescent lamps, CFLs). Measurement data include lamp power and Lux that are analyzed and compared. Test results show that the CFLs have the best flicker voltage bearing ability, but the produced high current harmonics, should be mitigated to avoid polluting the power distribution system
