Abstract :
We use chemical oxidation to make the gram scale graphene oxide and exfoliate the graphene from carbon fiber clothe. Then the graphene oxide is made as low operating electric field emitter by electrophoretic. Notably, the exfoliated graphene on carbon cloth has excellent field emission properties, with turn-on field at 0.4V/μm and threshold-field at 0.7V/μm. And aligned graphene sheets are horizontal layered to form flexible graphene paper, whose maximum emission current density was about 10A/cm2. The high emission current was attributed to the effects of the high aspect ratio of graphene sheets and aligned graphene sheets emission array.
