  • Abstract
    Calculation of scattering signatures of a spheroidal water drop on the base of Pruppacher´s model was performed. It is shown that differential RCS is practically the same for spheroidal and spherical drops. This confirms validity of using a spherical shape of drops for calculation of their scattering signatures by Mie theory.
