Abstract :
Wideband (5 MHz) measurements have been performed at 1900 MHz in an urban street microcell using a synthetic uniform linear array at the base station. The direction of arrival in azimuth plane is investigated using a high resolution algorithm. A 3-ray model is proposed to give the fundamental angular spread profile in a street canyon environment with a modest T-R distance. The angular spread parameters of measurements in unobstructed line-of-sight scenario are approached by statistical multiray direction of arrival models. The model sensitivity of constitutive parameters such as building material, street width, mobile station location in street and base station antenna height is investigated by simulations
