Abstract
By introducing a new idea of an “available state” and using continuous-time Markov analysis, we present a dependability analysis framework of fault-tolerant servo systems using limited integrators. It enables us to quantitatively evaluate the fault-tolerance, and thus it succeeds in improving the practicality of servo systems using limited integrators. In addition, the idea can absorb the variety of designed control function in the field of control engineering to play an essential role in establishing the cooperation with reliability/dependability engineering.
